Starting the Year Off Right

If you are one of the many who are starting the new year with new intentions and trying a new slate, good for you. Hope that your year is off to a great start and you are able to maintain your new behaviors and meet your goals.

One of the most common goals is weight loss or getting in shape. If you are in this camp, how are you feeling with whatever method you are trying? Are you enjoying it or does eating and exercising feel like chores? A well-known belief is that eating and exercise should be “painful” or you have to work at them in order to have success.

We are starting this year off with the reminder that eating should be fun and enjoyable. There was a study of Thai and Swedish people who ate the other’s traditional dishes which showed, that when you enjoy food, you absorb more nutrients out of the meal[1].

If you want to start enjoying eating while maintaining your health, or are determined to start your children with positive habits so they will never be on the dieting rollercoaster you have been on, we are here to help.

Wishing you and your family an amazing year ahead full of enjoyable mealtimes.
